Daihatsu Cuore 2010

Daihatsu Cuore 2010

Since its debut in 1981, the Daihatsu Cuore's practicality that pursues utility and its fashionable styling have won it many fans around the world, especially among women.
To further address their needs, the Cuore has recently undergone a renovation of its exterior and interior images. The 3-door version has become sportier than ever, and the 5-door version has been given a higher quality and more gorgeous atmosphere. While the car's highly acclaimed basic performance remains unchanged.

The Cuore is Daihatsu's flagship compact model that pursues economy and practicality as well as classless quality and performance. The new Cuore is our proposal for a next-generation basic car in innovative packaging.

The essence of the Cuore is its comfortable ride and ease of use. The interior space supersedes anyone's imagination of a small car cabin. It is easy to get into and out of the cabin thanks to the front and rear doors that open at an angle of 90 degrees and adequately positioned hip points.
Drivers of any physique can assume their best driving positions thanks to the tilt steering. Driving in narrow city streets is easy on account of the car's small turning circle. And the ample storage space is convenient for everyday use.

The Cuore's 1000 cc, 3-cylinder, 12-valve, DOHC DVVT (Dynamic Variable Valve Timing) engine is highly efficient and achieves excellent fuel economy figures of 4.6 litres/100 km. It also excels in terms of environmental performance by achieving a CO2 emission figure of 109 g/km (achieved by certain 3-door M/T models).

The engine develops rich torque throughout its rev range, pulling the car from low-speed driving in the city to high-speed cruising on motorways without a hint of stress. This is an engine that combines ecology and high performance at a high level. The transmission can be selected from 5-speed manual and 4-speed electronically controlled automatic, a feature that used to be available only on higher-class cars. The Cuore clears the latest stringent European safety standards with ease.

Daihatsu electromobiles

Maybe, it is difficult to believe in it, but Daihatsu actively sells the cars in 37 countries of the world. The spectrum of products is various enough: from cabriolet Copen to seven-seater version Terios. Since recent time the decision to grow and in respect of quality was accepted: the president of the company, Teruyuki Minoura, has informed that if it will be possible to find accumulators of sufficient quality, they will begin tiny electromobiles.

Now the group of engineers is directed in Toyota more in detail to study process of integration of fuel batteries in a car. The manufacturer, thus, does not plan hybrid electromobiles, as hybrid elements will make cars more hard that is inadmissible from the point of view of a policy of a brand.
